Job Purpose
To develop and implement strategies for acquisition, growth and retention of customers within the Bank’s Personal Banking segment. The role holder will proactively lead the Personal Banking team and have full accountability to drive sustainable business growth and maximize profitability of the segment in line with the Bank’s strategic plan, credit policies and procedures.
Key Result Areas
1. Drive initiatives aimed at achieving business targets in line with the Bank strategy for personal banking segment across the various bank distribution channels
2. Continuously review and innovate to ensure that the Bank’s Personal Banking solutions are in line with changing customer needs and deliver a consistent customer value proposition.
3. Structure and review Personal and Mortgage scheme proposals, negotiate terms with Employers and recommend for approval to the relevant committees.
4. Proactively lead customer relationship management in the segment to enhance customer experience, drive value and increase share of wallet.
5. Manage the performance and development of staff in the section in line with the set key result areas (KRAs) outlined in their respective performance contracts.
6. Mentor and develop a team of highly motivated personal bankers within the branch network accountable for exceeding customer satisfaction, relationship building, and operational performance targets for overall growth of the personal banking segment.
7. Initiate and recommend product development and procedure refinement ideas to meet the dynamic needs of the market and improve turnaround time in consultation with the Head of department.
8. Effectively represent the Department, on secondment, to key Bank committees like the Management Credit Committee, Product and innovation committee as may be required from time to time
9. Managing Operational and Credit Risk by ensuring that personal banking lending are within the stipulated bank lending policy
10. Ensuring that customer loans are properly and timely dealt with to arrive at a rapid credit decision and satisfy customer expectations.
11. Closely monitoring the personal banking loan portfolio and ensuring that delinquency levels meet the projected targets, and ensuring they remain at an acceptable level to minimize credit losses.
12. Ensuring efficient processing of the facilities under the Mortgage and Personal loans schemes and timely submission of monthly reports
13. Supporting personal banking sales strategy for Liability and asset products to targeted consumers and retention of existing ones.
Financial Responsibility
with accountability for developing marketing plans to improve home loans service and generate high sales volume. He/she will oversee activities such as the concept design, research activities, and sales goals of the home loans products & service.
In this position, the product manager will work with individuals from across the personal banking services to identify and define target market segments, market requirements, key business strategies and the competitive environment for HFB’s niche portfolio.
13. Support Onboarding and Treasury Support teams as needed

14. Track sales activities and timelines to ensure that the deliverables within onboarding project plans are met and are on-time
15. Establish a daily Treasury newsletter which summarizes the daily market activities and indicative movement of market variables, prices, interest rates and inflation.

Education & Training
1. A Bachelor’s degree in a business related course 2. ACI certification
3. A Sales qualification is an added advantage.

Job Purpose
1. The role holder will be a product manager for home loans
onboarding and exceptional client experience
Key Result Areas
1. In coordination with the personal banking unit, He/she will
be responsible for managing the existing product portfolio in areas of product’s risk, sales, training, reporting, incentive, and marketing and for alignment to the bank’s strategy and vision/ mission.
2. Monitor market trends and information collected by the Bank to identify potential areas for the development of new financial products, and the restructuring of existing products.
3. Stay on top of market trends, product positioning, successes and competition and recommend appropriate actions for HFB’s niche based on analysis.
4. Provide regular feedback on product requirements for local markets, including product specifications functionality, pricing, and translation needs.
5. Prepare and execute product launches and report on expectations of market size, market uptake, market share and expected budgeted sales.
6. Define product promotion and positioning for defined segments.
7. Apply broad base of knowledge pertaining to community development, banking, neighbourhood revitalization, and under-banked markets to think critically and recommend potential routes of action.
8. Produce financial analyses, projections, and pro-forma based on these proposed solutions.
9. Use statistical methods and applications to analyse customer applications and make concrete recommendations regarding underwriting guidelines and product design at the Bank.
10. Analyse, support both category, and cluster marketing plans to align with brand strategy and achieve annual operating plan goals.

Job Title: Treasury Sales Officer (1)

Department: Treasury
Reports To: Manager Treasury Sales Grade: HFB 5A

Internal – Treasury Operations, Treasury/Finance Team, Relationship Managers in BIB & MCB, Branch Teams
External – Bank Customers
Job Purpose
The Treasury Sales Officer is responsible for effectively selling the Bank’s depository and treasury management services to existing and prospective clients, either in conjunction with Relationship Managers or on an individual basis, achieving deposit and fee income goals and solidifying customer retention
Key Result Areas
1. Grow Treasury Product Revenue through direct sales
2. Utilize networking, community, and public relations activities to
identify prospective Treasury Management client opportunities
3. Perform product research and identify appropriate solutions for
customer requirements and satisfaction
4. Coordinate with assigned Lending Officers to support and
develop relationships with business clients and partners
5. Manage client calls and contacts and meet all assigned goals
6. Understand client business goals, environments, strategies, and
industry trends to become a trusted advisor and to identify
solutions for customer pain points
7. Understand our competitors’ environment, capabilities, and
gaps to effectively position HFB Treasury Services for success
8. Prepare sales analysis report and sales proposals for client
presentations
9. Participate on client calls with Relationship Managers/Officers
and analyze client Treasury services requirements
10. Perform risk monitoring for Treasury products and services and
initiate credit and risk approvals
11. Assist Treasury clients with product training and product
demonstrations as needed
12. Manage work of assigned Treasury Sales Officer(s) for efficient
