Centenary Bank
Role:
Manage relationships with various stakeholders (e.g., Internal and external stakeholders) and ensure that they provide supplies, services and works in line with bank policy and procedures.
Key Result Areas:
- Carry out supplier analysis, supplier risk management and post procurement appraisal of the bank’s suppliers.
- Continuously scan the environment to determine realistic pricing and maintain a price database, vendor database and register of specifications for supplies and services.
- Develop procurement instruments (e.g., RFP, TOR, SOW, EI, advert etc.).
- Implement and execute all approved procurement request (from initiation to delivery) and coordinate with the business units and suppliers.
- Maintain an updated and comprehensive database of approved specifications for all procurements made in line with bank policy requirements.
- Manage contract lifecycle with the various stakeholders (internal and external).
- Manage relationship with bank vendors for all procurement related matters to ensure Value for Money (VFM) procurement (including delivery, quality, payments)
- Coordinate the negotiation process with a view of getting the best offers for the Bank.
- Organize and monitor the implementation of systematic and periodical disposal of assets in line with the procurement and disposal policy
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to various stakeholders in the development of specifications and terms of reference for bank procurements
- Supervise and manage performance of staff in line with Human resource policy
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Degree in Procurement or a Professional qualification in Procurement (CIPS)
Required Experience and Competences:
- 5 years’ working experience in a procurement field in a busy organization/institution.
