Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the sales strategy that expands Uganda Airlines’ customer base and ensures its strong presence in the market.
- Monitor performance against targets and ensure actions are in place to achieve these targets.
- Analyze the competitive environment and produce market intelligence reports and suggest actions to be taken.
- Monitor and ensure the correct implementation of commercial agreements in relation to Sales such as GDS and GSA contracts.
- Supervise and manage relationships of key corporate and travel agent accounts in order to increase revenue.
- Ensure up-to-date dissemination of information to all stakeholders in the market (travel agencies, corporate clients, general public) by creating and maintaining a to date database.
- Expand the distribution channel by using traditional means and identifying innovative ways of delivering products to customers.
- Report on sales targets, present revenue, and expense reports, and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Work with other members of the team to initiate and execute sales promotion activities aimed at gaining market share and increasing revenue.
- Responsible for writing specific reports on market conditions as required by the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Build strong, professional relationships within the client base to facilitate the development of all revenue opportunities.
- Oversee the carrying out of sales visits to travel agencies, and corporate clients to solicit business to attain sales objectives.
- Establish productive relationship dealings with other industry segments and professional organizations to increase revenue opportunities/growth.
- Actively stay abreast of all developments in the travel industry.
- Responsible for presenting the company’s route network and products creatively to a high professional standard.
- Assist when needed in handling customer complaints.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales/business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in Sales
- Experience as a sales representative, airline sales office/ Call center management experience, or sales Manager in a Travel or Hospitality Industry is desired.
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
