Context
- Influenced by MTN Group standard KPIs for network performance and UCC (regulator) Quality of Service Standard
- Influenced by customer perception of network quality and service delivery quality.
- Influenced by the ITU standards for telecommunication network quality.

Main Job Functions:
- Proactive monitoring and trending of KPIs with professional interpretation that will enable network performance improvement.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive analytics that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights.
- Representing Network department in internal cross functional and external forums giving and gathering Network performance impacts from the decision there of
- Ensuring data accuracy and consistent routine and on-demand reporting on network quality and performance to internal and external, executive OPS review and board.
- “Tracking network performance improvement through benchmark drive testing, resolution of 142 complaints and closure of NPS findings “
- Develop reporting systems and dashboards to help with regular monitoring of network performance metrics.
- Post projects review to ensure business continuity with no service impact.

Role Dependencies:
- Interfaces and constantly coordinates with the Landlords for the MTN Owned Managed (MOM) and UTL Sites on matters related to Leases and Site access.
- The position may from time to time lend its expertise to companywide projects as supervisor and Implementer.
- Support and management of the contractors assigned to the non-technical facilities e.g., Service centres, Expert residences and offices that are ordinarily under the Facilities unit.
- Negotiate price books in conjunction with the Procurement department for contractors and suppliers involved in the Datacentre operation and projects.
- Day to day follow up of invoices, payments raised for the contractors and jobs related to the Data centre.
- High-level support to the O&M and MS team and Tower Co to find permanent solution to repetitive issues that affect the Network performance.
- Ensuring the physical security of the Datacentre through coordination with the Risk & Compliance team.

Authorities:
- This job has an impact in the development of the business plans with inputs to network planning, network operations.
- May have to engage contractors or consultants in line with the duties that fall in the departments control.
- May need to source and secure tools and applications to effectively carry out the tasks that are carried out by the section.
Education
- BSc Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering.
- Project Management Training.
- Supervisory/Manager Trainings
Other Training:
- Advanced Telecommunications and network technologies
- Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Software (MS Excel, MS Project, MS Work, MS Power Point, Share point etc)
- Drive testing tools

Work Experience
- A minimum of five years in Network/Service Planning or Network operations
