Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support high performance, highly available and mission critical database platforms for the Core Banking, NOBS, Channels and other systems.
  • Review and design database structures to support business requirements including logical and physical database modelling and provide detailed documentation on data model design and implementation.
  • Install, configure and maintain database instances, creates various database objects, create users with appropriate roles and levels of security.
  • Implement database security policies that are consistent with laid security guidelines and implement best practices and incorporate them in DBA procedures.
  • Implement and perform database backup and recovery strategies that meet recovery and availability requirements and determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
  • Manage and support Enterprise Data warehouse including the development of reports from the data warehouse platform.
  • Perform complex analyses and reviews applications being released into production.
  • Develop and oversees the implementation of test application code in client server environments to ensure that software conforms to build management practices.
  • Work with the development, testing, and support teams to provide design guidelines and impact analysis.
  • Effectively collaborate with other Operations and Support team to resolve performance and design issues.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Performing and supporting of Close of Business (COB) in a timely manner. – Daily/Weekly on-call rotation and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform Database performance analysis – Database management, monitoring and reporting.
  • Implement and perform database backup and recovery strategies that meet recovery and availability requirements.
  • Monitor the system performance on I/O waits, system and database locks, license usage and system speeds.
  • Attend to ECRM and ITSM Incidents, Requests & Changes

Requirements:

  • Total minimum of 3 years of working Experience.
  • Bachelor of Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Professional Qualification in ITIL, OCP/OCA will be an added advantage.
  • Master’s Degree in Any computer related, Business Management will be an added advantage.
