Main Purpose:

To design, optimize and implement IP based Network solutions to meet the business requirements in accordancy to the MTN vision and Mission.

Job Title: Consultant – IP Planning

Reports to: Senior Consultant – IP Planning

Main Job Functions:

• Plan and deploy IP based solutions.
• Act as a point of escalation for any IP related faults.
• Plan and manage the allocation of IP addresses both public and Private.
• Manage the routing and switching technologies for the MTN Uganda IP / MPLS / SRV6
• infrastructure.
• Plant and implement network security measures.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integrations and alignment.
• Innovate and aligning the MTN IP network to the latest technologies in the market
• Monitoring network capacity and performance
• Budgeting for the IP network expansions and modernizations. Plan and deploy IP based solutions.

Education

• Minimum of bachelors degree in Telecommunication / Electrical Engineering
• Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body for Engineers will be added advantage

Work Experience 

• 5 years’ experience in a relevant field.
