Qualification and experience:
1. Must have a good Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Organizational Behavior, or Organizational Psychology.
2. Must have at least two years of working experience in a Human Resource Office.
3. Must be conversant with Uganda Labor Laws.
4. Must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet).
5. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Must have good interpersonal skills especially when dealing with students, staff, and visitors.
7. Must be a person of high integrity with an excellent working ethic.
8. Must be a committed and practicing Christian.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Support the development, implementation, and review of HR initiatives, policies, procedures, and systems;
2. Manage the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the hiring process from start to finish right from Identifying HR gaps to onboarding;
3. Provide support in the preparation of the monthly payroll, maintaining payroll-related documents, and ensuring payroll information is properly documented and filed.;
4. Assist in performance management processes, including timely probation and annual appraisal processes, contract renewals, etc;
5. Develop and implement University-wide staff training and development programs;
6. Preparation of HR-related statistics and periodic reports to Management and Boards;
7. Manage the Academic Staff Promotions process from start to finish;
8. Supervise Junior support staff at the College.
